Midlife and menopause are associated with lower libido in many women. Spontaneous sex drive can become less with age, but many other factors are involved. Many women feel less desire to initiate sex, but does not mean that all hope is lost and libido is gone. Having good sex all life-long is possible and depends on many factors including changing hormone levels of estrogen and testosterone, self image, sleep quality, amount and type of exercise, existence of life stressors and care-taking of others, quality of emotional connection to partner, moods and sense of wellness.
